The Month of May in Cordoba
Cordoba is an Andalusia city, capital of the province of the same name, who lives a succession of festivals and games in the month of May. Coinciding with the last days of April, start this series of activities will culminate at the end of May.
First we celebrate the traditional “Cruces de Mayo”, where crosses covered with flowers and adorned with pots compete for the award for most beautiful. Located in streets and squares are filled with music and a bar where “tapas” and drinking.
Immediately after the end of the festival of the Crosses of May kicks off the contest Patios. Neighbours decorated with pots that have spoiled over the years, the courtyards of old tenements, getting spots of great beauty that are the image of many a postcard.
