Archaeological explorations allowed to uncover the history and old buildings began in the nineteenth century but deepened in the ’40s of the twentieth century. The part of the archaeological zone is open to the public is Tula Grande, the site where pyramidal platforms, the Presidential Palace and the famous Atlantis are on top of the Pyramid B.
The Atlantean Tula are four statues representing Toltec warriors with darts, knife of flint and pectoral butterfly.
